A downloadable game for Windows

A short experimental JRPG created by a one-man team in RPG Maker VX Ace with standard assets. This is my first attempt to create a content-driven game, with the GMTK Game Jam 2019 theme "Only One" being expressed in it by using common mechanics and asset types only once in the entire game.

Controls

Arrow keys: Navigate the menus and the game world
Space/Enter: Activate, select option, OK
Escape: Cancel, delete

I can't beat the Evil One, I am with the companion, the sword and the armor. Am I missing something?

I think you have to gain level 2 to unlock the special attack that can defeat the final boss. Thanks for playing, by the way!

Okay, I gained level 2 and it was easy, haha. Thanks for the tip! I found it difficult to grind for the level 2, are there limited enemies?

Yup, there is literally Only One(tm) of every enemy type in the game. ;-)
